Day's Jewelers Day at Hadlock Field
On Sunday, August 23, Day's Jewelers joined the Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field for an afternoon celebrating baseball, community and the people who make Day's what it is.
While the Maine weather ultimately had plans of its own, a little rain couldn't take away from a day spent alongside our co-owners and their families and friends.
Nearly 20 Years at Day's, and One Memorable First Pitch

The afternoon began with LT Sierra, Day's Jewelers Topsham Store Manager and Central Maine Territory Manager, taking the field to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
LT is approaching an incredible 20 years with Day's Jewelers, building a career that has grown alongside the company and the teams she now helps lead throughout Central Maine.
Having one of our longtime co-owners represent Day's from the pitcher's mound made the moment particularly special. It gave us one more reason to cheer.
Taking Day's Live on the Radio

Another familiar face represented Day's from the broadcast booth.
Leo Gerrior, South Portland Store Manager, joined the live radio broadcast to share a message from Day's with Sea Dogs fans.
Leo has been part of Day's Jewelers for 21 years and also serves on the Day's Jewelers ESOP Trustee Board, representing his fellow employee-owners in an important part of our company's ownership structure.
For a company that has been employee-owned since 2021, having two longtime co-owners represent Day's throughout the afternoon felt especially fitting.
1,000 Rally Towels and Plenty to Cheer About
Throughout the game, our team handed out 1,000 custom Day's Jewelers rally towels to fans throughout Hadlock Field. They quickly made their way around the ballpark.
Fans could also stop by the Day's Jewelers booth to meet members of our team, learn more about career opportunities at Day's, explore the jewelry services available through our stores, and enter for a chance to win a diamond medallion pendant.
From jewelry repair and custom design to career opportunities within an employee-owned company, the booth gave us an opportunity to introduce another side of Day's to the Greater Portland community.
More Than a Day at the Ballpark
As much fun as it was to see the Day's name throughout Hadlock Field, the most meaningful part of the day happened beyond the signage, rally towels and first pitch.
It was simply having our people together.
Day's Jewelers is an employee-owned jeweler serving communities throughout Maine and New Hampshire, and opportunities like this allow our co-owners to step outside of our stores and offices and spend time together with the families and friends who support them.
We shared a barbecue before the game, experienced Hadlock Field together and celebrated a summer afternoon as one Day's family.
The rain may have shortened the baseball. It didn't shorten the memories.
Thank you to the Portland Sea Dogs for welcoming Day's Jewelers to Hadlock Field, and to all of our co-owners, families, friends and fans who joined us for such a special day.
