Known for its bright and sunny golden glow Citrine is said to banish evil thoughts from the mind and balance it with your emotions and intuition. Therefore, bringing the wearer perfect harmony while making her lighthearted and cheerful. Citrine is actually a variety of quartz mineral and is jokingly called Amethyst’s daughter. Citrine ranks 7 out of 10 on the Mohs scale (used to determine gem hardness) and is acceptable for everyday wear. Most Citrine is heated to permanently cement its bright color for all time. Citrine has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. It's durable and great for everyday wear. Citrine jewelry should be kept away from prolonged exposure to strong light or heat.
Clean citrine jewelry with Day's Jewelry Cleaner or with mild dish soap in warm water: Use a toothbrush to scrub behind the stone where dust, dirt and soap film may collect.

Necklace Sizing:
Necklaces and chains come in many lengths. The drawings below indicate standard chain lengths and illustrate how they look on the neck of an average size woman and man. Chains can be shortened to create a non-standard length.
The width of a chain is generally indicated in millimeters. The chart below offers a comparison of centimeters to inches. One centimeter is equal to 10 millimeters.

Day's Jewelers offers a lifetime warrantee against defects in materials and workmanship on any piece of jewelry purchased from us. We will also replace any stones, free of charge, in case of loss from the mounting, provided the jewelry was inspected by Day's Jewelers within six months of the loss. This warrantee does not cover excessive abuse or normal wear.
Day's will professionally clean and inspect you jewelry at no charge any time. For warrantee purposes, these inspections must be verified on the Fine Jewelry Documentation of Purchase by a Day's Jewelers associate. If you have moved to another area, and are unable to bring it to a Day's Jewelers store, please contact us, and we will find a reputable jeweler in your area who will inspect it for you free of charge.
Loss or damage is not covered resulting from abuse, normal wear, mysterious disappearance or repair, sizing or any other work done on your jewelry other than by Day's Jewelers or another jewelry company that we have specifically authorized. Day's Jewelers will repair or replace your setting at our option, if it is defective in materials or craftsmanship, provided the semiannual inspections have been performed.
How to Obtain Warranty Services:
If your jewelry requires any service, simply return it together with your Fine Jewelry Documentation of Purchase to any Day's store. You can also mail the item back to us for warranty service. Please send it, properly insured, to DFJ, 88 Main Street, Waterville ME 04901.

Order Processing Time
- Most orders received before 2:00 PM EST will be shipped the same day.
- All items on our site are available for immediate shipping. However, it is possible that an item may be sold out just after placing your order. In this case we will notify you immediately.
- Allow up to 2 additional days for ring sizing if you select a ring size other than the indicated standard ring size. Refer to the care and sizing tab on the detail page for the standard ring size.
- Engraving requires an extra two business days before shipping
