Swarovski History
Born into a glass cutting family on October 24, 1862- Daniel Swarovski naturally took to the family art. At only 30 he and his cousin revolutionized the crystal process by patenting a unique cutting machine. Swarovski’s fame quickly spread as he was able to produce large quantities of precise, brilliant, high quality crystal products.

Swarovski Crystal Care and Cleaning
Over time, dust, pollen, fingerprints, film from air fresheners, etc. will adhere to your Swarovski crystal masking its natural beauty and sparkle. Gently caressing with your hands wearing clean cotton gloves will remove most dirt and films.
On occasion, it may be necessary to wash your Swarovski crystal to remove dust and film from areas where gloves cannot reach. In this case, add a bit of dish soap and a tablespoon of ammonia to warm water to create a cleaning solution. Place a soft large towel in the bottom of your sink or bowl to keep crystal from breaking if you accidentally drop it during the washing process. Use a soft bristle brush to get into the hard to reach areas. Use a soft, lint free cloth to dry.
When colorless crystal gets a cloudy film on it from repeated washings with hard water you can remove it by soaking the crystal in warm/ room temperature, undiluted white vinegar for 1 hour, then hand wash it as directed above.(Do not use this vinegar method on colored crystal or crystal with any color on it at because it may dull or remove the color).
Broken Swarovski crystal figurines may be repaired by returning to the manufacturer. Swarovski will charge a fee for the repair unless it was caused by a manufacturers defect. Day's would be happy to handle the return for you.
