Repairs

Most people don't realize that we do almost all of our own jewelry repairs at Day's. In fact, about 98% of all repairs are completed right on the premises - so you know when you leave any of your pieces for repair, they will be completely insured, because we use a sophisticated computerized jewelry repair system to keep track of your jewelry.

Every piece that comes in for repair is inspected no less than 4 times to ensure the quality of the material and the workmanship. In each of our stores you will find some of the best repair specialists in the business. Our staff is equipped with the most up-to-date equipment to provide better service and quality for you - our valued customer. At Day's we can do just about any repair you may need, including soldering, sizing, and stone setting

Not sure that you can pay for the piece you really want all at once? We make it convenient for our customers to layaway jewelry with little work on your part. At Day's we believe everyone should have the opportunity to own fine jewelry and that's why our layaway plan is so easy.

When you decide to layaway jewelry at Day's, you get the best terms possible because there are no interest or service fees. Also, Day's layaway plan allows for long term payments: a piece can be put on hold for up to 10 months with small monthly payments of just 10% each month. Jewelry Cleaning & Inspection

Did you know that you should have all of your fine jewelry inspected every 6 months, especially your rings? Losing a diamond out of your engagement ring could be a devastating experience, but it can be avoided by bringing your rings in for periodic inspections.

At Day's, you can stop by anytime and we will inspect your jewelry under a microscope to make sure all the prongs and gems are good. We can also buff it and ultrasonically clean it free of charge. The best part is that we can do this all while you wait, so there's no hassle or need to leave your jewelry overnight!

Watch Battery Replacement & Repair

At Day's we take watches very seriously because we know that you depend on your watch to keep accurate time. We also understand that you want the assurance that the person who is replacing the battery in your watch is a trained professional.

When we replace the power cell in any watch, we go through 18 individual steps to guarantee your satisfaction, and we can do all this in less then 10 minutes! For just $7.00 (no tax in NH), you can be in and out of your store with a new battery in your watch. It's just that easy!

If it's more then a battery that's needed to repair your watch, we will notify you immediately and can repair it for you. We have watch specialists that do excellent craftsmanship on pocket watches, mechanical watches, automatics and quartz timepieces

Engraving

Engraving can add just the right touch to that special gift. It makes a piece far more personal and can touch the heart in so many ways. Engraving a piece can be used for security purposes as well as, in the case of loss or theft.

At Day's we have master engravers located in each of our stores. One of our newest additions is the laser engraver, which can do amazing things. This engraver can inscribe messages on any type of surface from plastic to metal to wood, and even on glass. (Engraving on a champagne bottle with the liquid still inside is a great gift for weddings and anniversaries!) Several different computer generated texts are available to be inscribed, or the laser engraver can take a special hand-written message, scan it, and engrave it onto any piece making it more unique.

We understand that your special pieces of jewelry each have their sentimental value, but have you always wondered what your jewelry is actually worth. Or perhaps you would like to have your jewelry insured. At Day's, when you bring in your jewelry, we can inspect each piece and offer a free verbal evaluation. If you want a complete written insurance and estate appraisal, our team of highly qualified gemologists, trained by the Gemological Institute of America, can do that for you. The equipment in our full gemological laboratory is specialized for conducting over 40 individual tests to identify stones and metals. We are also directly linking to all major worldwide jewelry markets so that we can give you the most current value of your diamonds and precious stones on a daily basis.
